Russia carried out another large-scale air attack on Ukraine, with 205 drones launched from Sunday evening into the night hours. According to the version published by the Ukrainian Air Force, 172 of them were shot down or neutralized, while strikes were reported on the ground in 13 areas.

The attack began in the evening and continued through the night
According to Ukrainian authorities, the attack began at around 6:00 p.m. local time and continued for several hours. It was a concentrated air offensive, with extensive use of unmanned systems.
The preliminary toll published by the Ukrainian side speaks of 205 drones launched toward Ukrainian territory, in another episode of the escalation of the war in the air.
Ukrainian authorities say 172 drones were neutralized
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 172 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down or neutralized by air defense systems. These figures remain part of the preliminary reporting of Ukrainian institutions and are not yet accompanied by a full accounting of the consequences on the ground.
To counter the attack, according to the same official version, the air force, anti-aircraft units, electronic warfare structures, and mobile fire groups were engaged.
Several types of drones were used in the attack, including decoy systems
Ukrainian authorities report that the systems used included Shahed, Gerbera, and Banderol/Dan-T drones. They also said that systems known as Parody were used, intended to overload and deceive air defenses.
The report also mentions the use of 49 jet-powered drones, an element that indicates the intensity and complexity of the wave of attacks reported by the Ukrainian side.
Strikes in 13 areas, but no full toll yet for damage and casualties
According to Ukrainian authorities, strikes were recorded in 13 different areas. In three other areas, meanwhile, debris from downed aerial systems fell.
So far, no full toll has been published for material damage or possible casualties. Ukrainian authorities have said that the assessment of the consequences is still ongoing.
The latest attack comes at a time when the use of drones remains one of the main tools of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The real extent of the damage from this new wave of strikes is expected to become clearer only after on-the-ground verification is completed.
