Drone attacks in Sevastopol and Belgorod reportedly leave dead and injured

Sevastopol, statement from the Moscow-appointed governor

In Sevastopol, on the Crimean Peninsula annexed by Russia, the Moscow-appointed governor said on Telegram that one person was killed and three others were injured in a drone attack.

Crimea remains one of the most sensitive flashpoints of the war, while information emerging from Russian-controlled territory comes mainly through official channels and often without immediate independent verification.

Belgorod reports a heavier toll

In Belgorod, near the border with Ukraine, local authorities reported a heavier toll. According to them, three people were killed and nine others were injured in another drone attack.

This announcement was also published on Telegram, a platform that has become a main channel for official communications during the war, but which often leaves important questions unanswered about the circumstances, targets, and verification of the damage.

The claims remain within the official Russian version

So far, information on both incidents is based on statements by Russian authorities and Moscow-installed officials. There are no additional publicly confirmed details on the manner of the attack or the sites that were hit.

In such cases, initial casualty figures not infrequently change over the course of the following hours, so the reported numbers should be read with caution, especially when they come from parties directly involved in the conflict.

Drone attacks have become a constant feature of the war between Russia and Ukraine, with frequent reports of strikes in various territories under Russian control.

For now, local authorities have published only preliminary data on the dead and injured in Sevastopol and Belgorod.
