A tense incident was recorded outside the Kosovo Assembly, where protesters stopped Vetëvendosje MP Fahrush Rexhepi as he was attempting to leave the institution’s premises. The scene shows the level of pressure on the ground, as the protest aimed to prevent deputies from leaving without first putting the amendments to the Law on the Specialized Chambers to a vote.

The MP was sent back inside the cordon
According to footage and the account reported from the scene, Rexhepi was stopped as he was leaving the Kosovo Assembly building. Protesters physically grabbed him and sent him back inside the barriers set up by Kosovo Police.
The incident took place at a highly charged moment, with protesters seeking to block any attempt by deputies to leave the Assembly area.
Protesters’ demand: no departures without a vote
At the center of the protest was the demand that deputies should not leave before the amendments to the Law on the Specialized Chambers were voted on in second reading.
This condition imposed by protesters turned the Assembly entrance and exit into a point of direct confrontation between the crowd and political representatives.
Police had set up a cordon
The area was surrounded by Kosovo Police, but the incident shows that the tension on the ground went beyond the formal control of the security perimeter.
At this stage, what is known is that the MP was not allowed to continue leaving and was sent back into the cordoned area.
The incident outside the Assembly highlights the heated political climate and the direct pressure being exerted on deputies over the vote on the legal amendments.
It remains an episode that also raises questions about the management of security around the institution, in a protest where tension quickly moved from political chants to physical interference with an MP.
