Blockade at the Assembly building

Protesters have surrounded the premises of the Kosovo Assembly building and have set as a condition the approval of the draft law affecting the Law on the Specialized Chambers.

Their message was direct: according to the protesters, no lawmaker should leave until the law is approved. This turns the protest into an open act of pressure on the parliamentary process.

Session did not begin at the scheduled time

The extraordinary session, whose agenda includes this very draft law, was scheduled to begin at 09:00.

However, it has still not started, while outside the building the situation remains tense and closely tied to developments inside the Assembly.

UÇK war veterans join the protest

Representatives of the UÇK War Veterans Organization have also joined the protest, giving the gathering additional political and public weight.

The head of the organization, Hysni Gucati, warned that the protest would escalate if the draft law is not put to a vote.

The development places the Kosovo Assembly under strong pressure at the entrance to the institution, while decision-making on the law is being accompanied by open tension on the ground.

At the center of the confrontation remains the demand for the approval of amendments related to the Specialized Chambers, an issue that has triggered an immediate reaction outside the Assembly hall.
