The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted sharply after the approval of the law on protecting the governor of the Bank of Albania, portraying it as a political intervention in favor of senior officials rather than a normal institutional guarantee.

In a public reaction on social media, Berisha described the law as an attempt by Prime Minister Edi Rama to protect himself and people close to him.
