Ballist Morina met Erjon Vishkulli at the hospital in Rome where he is being treated, the young man who suffered an eye injury during the protest held a few days ago in Tirana. The visit was accompanied by a gift with symbolic weight: the shirt bearing the flag that flew above the stadium in Belgrade during the Serbia-Albania match on October 14, 2014.

The meeting at the hospital in Rome
Morina, known for the episode of raising a drone with Albanian patriotic symbols above the stadium in Belgrade, visited Vishkulli at the hospital where he is receiving medical treatment in Italy.
The images and description of the meeting place the emphasis on the condition of the injured young man and on the symbolic support he has received during his recovery.
How Vishkulli ended up in Italy
Erjon Vishkulli was injured in the eye during the protest in Tirana, an incident that raised serious questions about how the gathering was managed and the consequences of the intervention on the ground.
According to the official version, he was urgently transported to Rome on a charter plane made available by the Albanian state, where he underwent a delicate procedure.
A gift with symbolism from the night in Belgrade
During the visit, Ballist Morina gave Vishkulli a shirt bearing the flag that was used on the night of October 14, 2014 above the Partizan Stadium in Belgrade.
Next to the shirt there was also a note with the message: “For the autochthonous Erjon Vishkulli. Long live the spirit of the Albanian. Greetings to victory, God is Albanian”.
Health condition and recovery
It is learned that Vishkulli managed to save the eye after the procedure carried out in Rome.
He has now entered a long and difficult phase of vision recovery, while the real extent of the damage will be assessed throughout the rehabilitation process.
Vishkulli’s case remains one of the most serious episodes reported after the protest in Tirana, not only because of the physical injury, but also because of the debate it has opened over institutional responsibility when citizens take part in public gatherings.
The meeting with Ballist Morina has also given this event a symbolic dimension, beyond the medical battle the young man is fighting in Rome.
