Several wildfire hotspots remain active in Fier, with the most serious situation in the Panahor area, where flames are advancing toward surrounding villages. According to the official version, forces from the army, firefighters and local structures have been deployed on the ground, while urgent aerial intervention has also been requested.
Panahor remains the most at-risk area
Information from the ground indicates that the fire in the Panahor area is continuing with high intensity, spreading toward the villages of Panahor and Çyçen. According to official data, there is also a risk that the flames could advance toward the village of Cfir.
This places Panahor at the center of the emergency, at a time when high temperatures and difficult terrain are complicating a timely intervention.
Active flames also in Ngraçan, Riban, Drenie and Vlosht
Above the village of Ngraçan, the fire is reported to be of lower intensity, but with a tendency to move closer to the inhabited area. Authorities say the situation is being monitored and that there is currently no report of direct danger to homes.
Meanwhile, in the village of Riban, the hotspot remains active inside the pine massif. The flames are also spreading toward the forest massif of Drenie and Vlosht, indicating that the fire perimeter remains broad and not yet fully isolated.
Intervention from the air and the ground
According to authorities on the ground, two helicopters have been put into operation to deal with the situation, while numerous forces are also taking part in the ground operation. The goal, according to them, is to bring the flames under control and prevent their spread to other areas.
Four fire engines, 25 firefighters, 30 municipal workers and 50 troops from the Armed Forces have been engaged in the operation. The figures show a considerable deployment in numbers, but the fires remain active on several fronts.
Why urgent support is being requested
According to the authorities, the rugged terrain, the dense forest massif and the large area engulfed by the flames make aerial intervention essential. An additional factor remains the rise in temperatures at midday, which usually makes it more difficult to isolate the hotspots.
These conditions also raise questions about response capacity on the ground, in a situation where the fire has remained active in several areas at the same time and the risk of expansion has not been eliminated.
So far, authorities have not announced any homes affected, but the fire front remains problematic in several villages in Fier.
The main focus remains Panahor, while the development of the situation will depend on isolating the most active hotspots and the effectiveness of the aerial intervention.
