A network of hotels and tour operators in Vlora has stepped in to accommodate holidaymakers affected by the fire at the “Brooklyn” hotel, in an effort to avoid interrupting their vacations after the incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning.
Tour operators offer shelter after incident
The Association of Tour Operators of Vlora announced that it has shown solidarity with the holidaymakers affected by the fire that engulfed the premises of the “Brooklyn” hotel.
According to the public statement, several hotel units in the city have made other accommodation facilities available for the affected tourists.
Free accommodation and help for basic needs
The head of the tour operators, Vasil Bedini, said the tourists will be placed free of charge in other hotels in Vlora.
He also said that for holidaymakers who lost clothing or personal belongings in the fire, operators will provide the necessary assistance to cope with the immediate situation.
The municipality also part of the response scheme
The Municipality of Vlora has also become involved in this effort, in cooperation with the hotel units that have offered shelter for those affected.
So far, the response has focused on emergency accommodation and covering basic needs, while the priority remains ensuring that holidaymakers are not left without a solution after the incident.
Goal: vacations should not be interrupted
According to the tour operators, the aim is for the affected tourists to continue their stay in Vlora and not be forced to interrupt their holiday plans because of the fire.
It remains unclear whether there will be a more complete assessment of the damage and how responsibilities will be managed after the incident.
The intervention by the operators and several hotel structures has served as an immediate solution for the affected holidaymakers.
