A serious incident in Porto Palermo left four people injured after a dinghy caught fire during engine repair work. The first account given by one of the injured speaks of a gasoline leak and an immediate explosion, while the full circumstances remain under investigation.

The injured man’s account from the ambulance
Xhemal Ismaili, one of the people injured in the incident, described the first moments of the event while he was being transported by ambulance to Tirana.
He suffered burns to around 50% of his body, making this one of the most serious cases recorded in this incident.
How the explosion happened, according to his account
According to Ismaili’s testimony, at the moment of the explosion he was near the dinghy together with four other people.
He said that gasoline had leaked from the engine during the work and was then immediately engulfed in flames, causing the explosion and the severe burns.
