The State Cadastre Agency has announced the start of a door-to-door verification operation in Palasë for homes that do not have ownership documentation. According to the official version, the teams will remain in the area for one week and will review every case, even when citizens have not applied previously.

According to the Cadastre announcement, the process begins tomorrow in Palasë, where specialists from the institution will go into the field to identify and verify homes without ownership documents.
The institution presents this as a new approach, with mobile teams that will go directly to homes, instead of citizens relying only on procedures at service counters or through the usual applications.
What will be verified in the field
The Cadastre’s Director General, Lorena Goxhobelli, said specialists will knock on every home, regardless of whether the owners have previously applied to the institution or not.
According to her, measurements, verifications and clarifications of documentation will be carried out in the field. For cases that meet the legal criteria, the relevant decision will be sent to citizens through the e-Albania platform.
Cadastre promises transparency, but the burden remains on the citizen
According to the Cadastre, after work is completed in each area, the status of the homes handled will be published, clarifying which cases have received a decision, which need additional documents and which homes could not be accessed by the teams.
At the same time, the institution itself acknowledges that for some files, documents will be needed that it cannot provide, such as a certificate of inheritance. This means that part of the procedural responsibility continues to remain with families that have faced property uncertainty for years.
Call for cooperation from residents
The agency has asked Palasë residents to cooperate with specialists in the field and to make sure that during the visit there is a person at the home to receive the teams.
After Palasë, according to the official announcement, this initiative is expected to be extended in turn to other villages in the country, in an effort to address homes that continue to remain outside regular ownership documentation.
For residents, the real test of this initiative will not be the visit at the door, but whether the verifications translate into clear decisions and real deadlines, without leaving files once again suspended in the administrative labyrinth.
In areas sensitive to property issues, every such operation remains under scrutiny not for the promises, but for the concrete result it produces.
