Kosovo is entering another phase in the formation of the executive, after Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu appointed Albin Kurti as the nominee to create the new government. The move comes after a proposal by the Vetëvendosje Movement and was presented by Haxhiu as a procedure in line with the Constitution.

In the public announcement, Haxhiu said the decision to appoint Kurti was made on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and following the proposal made by the Vetëvendosje Movement.
According to the official version, Albin Kurti has been mandated to form the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, officially opening the phase of negotiations and the establishment of the new cabinet.
What Albulena Haxhiu said
Haxhiu framed the decision in a direct statement, underlining that the appointment of the nominee was made in accordance with the country’s constitutional order.
She also wished Kurti success in carrying out the responsibilities that, according to her, stem from the trust of the citizens, as well as in forming the new government as quickly as possible.
