A shocking incident has been reported in the village of Akërni in Vlorë, where a 70-year-old woman is suspected of having been attacked inside her home, sexually assaulted and then robbed. What is alleged to have happened
According to police, the incident took place on September 26. The suspect is a 43-year-old man with the initials F. Y., a resident of Akërni, who according to the official version lived in the same apartment building as the 70-year-old woman.
Police allege that he knocked on the elderly woman’s door and, after she opened it, struck her in the head with an axe. As a result, the woman is suspected of having lost consciousness inside the home.
Suspicions of robbery and sexual violence
After the blow, the 43-year-old is suspected of having searched the home and taken around 700,000 old lek that were there.
Also according to police, before leaving the home he is suspected of having forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse with the 70-year-old woman. These are investigative suspicions that remain to be proven as procedures continue.
