Gathering outside the Ministry of Education

Students from the University of Medicine, UBT, the Polytechnic University, the Faculty of Law and other faculties gathered outside the Ministry of Education in a protest that quickly took on a confrontational tone.

During the gathering, pyrotechnic objects were thrown toward the ministry building. Police forces were positioned opposite the protesters, while the situation in the area became tense.

Escalation also at the Faculty of Natural Sciences

Tensions were also reported at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, where some of the protesters broke the main door and entered the interior of the building.

The episode marks another escalation in the student protests, with incidents moving from gatherings to the entrances of educational institutions.

High school students join the protest

High school students from the “Partizani” school also joined the protest, expanding participation beyond the universities.

The involvement of secondary school students shows that the discontent has not remained only inside lecture halls, but is also spreading among other young people in the capital.

Boycott also in other cities, though not everywhere with the same response

At the universities of Elbasan and Shkodra, a boycott of classes has begun as a sign of solidarity with the students in Tirana.

Meanwhile, in Durrës, Vlorë and Gjirokastër, classes continued normally, showing that the response remains uneven from one city to another.

Today’s events highlight a clear escalation of the protest, with tensions both in the streets and inside university premises.

At this stage, it remains clear that the situation is no longer developing as a routine gathering, but as a crisis testing the response of educational and law enforcement institutions.
