The headquarters of the Socialist Party appeared today with new windows, after the building was hit with stones in two separate episodes a day earlier. At the same time, an increased police presence was noticed outside the premises, a move that comes after tensions recorded near the building.

Work on the building after the windows were broken
Images from the SP headquarters show that the damaged windows were replaced during the day today. The damage occurred a day earlier, when protesters threw stones at the building at two different moments.
The incident brings back into focus concerns about security around political party headquarters, as well as how clashes are managed during high-tension protests.
Greater police presence outside the headquarters
In the area around the Socialist building, a larger number of police officers was observed. The increased police presence comes after the episodes of the previous day, when the situation escalated into stone-throwing at the headquarters.
At this stage, the police move is being read as a security measure on the ground, while it remains to be seen whether there will be an official clarification on the perimeter and the specific measures put in place.
Masked individuals were seen leaving the building
During yesterday’s clash, several masked individuals were seen coming out of the pink building. They were holding wooden sticks and, according to footage from the scene, tried to push back the protesters.
This episode raises additional questions about security management at a political headquarters and about the role of the individuals who appeared outside the building at the height of the tension.
So far, what can be seen on the ground is a headquarters with the damage repaired and a stronger police presence at and around its entrance.
The circumstances surrounding the exit of the masked individuals and the way the situation was handled during the clash with protesters remain without full answers.
