Erjona Ismaili has resigned as co-chair of the Socialist Party in Vlora. The departure was made public by the Minister of State for Relations with Parliament herself through a Facebook post, in which she presented the decision as part of the final phase of the reorganization of the SP’s structures.

According to her statement on social media, Ismaili is leaving the post of co-chair after 1 year and 3 months in the role.
She described the role as a “privilege and responsibility,” while thanking the leaders and members of the Socialist Party for their support during this period.
The decision is linked to the reorganization of the Socialist Party
In the version given by Ismaili, the resignation comes within the framework of the final phase of the reorganization of the Socialist Party.
She says that with her departure, the way is being opened for the process of selecting new SP leaders in Vlora, which she describes as a democratic process.
Message of thanks and reference to Edi Rama
In the public post, Ismaili writes that she took over the leadership of the SP in Vlora thanks to the trust of Socialist Party chairman Edi Rama.
She also expressed gratitude for what she called a shared chapter of work with the city’s socialists.
So far, there has been no detailed public announcement about the name of the person who will replace her in this position in the local SP structure in Vlora.
The move comes at a time when the party’s reorganization in the counties is being presented by Socialist leaders as a normal internal process, while decisions on local leadership remain of direct political weight.
