Albulena Haxhiu has again been elected to lead the Assembly of Kosovo, securing 62 votes in favor in the parliamentary session. The vote marks an important step in completing the constitution of the Assembly and continuing procedures for the establishment of new institutions.

62 votes in favor, 16 against and 13 abstentions

In the vote for the leadership of the Assembly of Kosovo, Haxhiu received the support of 62 lawmakers, while 16 voted against and 13 abstained.

She was proposed for the post by the Vetëvendosje Movement, which managed to pass the candidacy in the session with the necessary majority.

Konjufca announced a political agreement with LDK

The proposal for Albulena Haxhiu was presented by MP Glauk Konjufca, who said there is a political agreement with LDK on the issue of the president.

According to the statement made during the session, this agreement was considered the basis for proceeding with Haxhiu’s name for speaker of the Assembly.
