A video published by activist Arvina Lleshi has triggered another public clash between citizens denouncing violence and politics avoiding a direct response. In the footage, Lleshi stops Fier district MP Erjo Mile, shows marks on her arm and accuses the police of assaulting her during her escort, while also speaking of political orders.

Arvina Lleshi confronts MP Erjo Mile with allegations of police violence and political orders

Direct accusations against police and those in power

In the video shared by the activist herself, Arvina Lleshi claims that the marks on her body were caused the previous day by police during her escort. She links the incident to what she describes as a chain of orders from police leaders up to the prime minister.

Lleshi asks the MP for a public position, asking why there is no reaction when, according to her, women are abused and citizens’ rights are violated. In her words, there are also accusations that she was taken by force by police and plainclothes officers.

Erjo Mile’s response remains cautious

For his part, Erjo Mile does not give a direct answer to the allegations of violence. He says he must raise his voice for the community he represents in Fier, but adds that the situation should not “be perceived this way.”

The MP then tries to shift the conversation to his personal acquaintance with the activist, saying that he does not put people he knows in the media. This line of defense does not address the core of the allegations raised in the video: whether or not there was violence during the escort and who bears responsibility.

From personal denunciation to political clash

Lleshi insists that the issue is not personal and that the response should be for all citizens. She reminds the MP that she is not addressing him as a private acquaintance, but as a political representative with a public duty to speak when such allegations are raised.

The confrontation then shifts into political tones, with the activist calling on him to resign and join citizens, while Mile replies that thinking differently does not necessarily mean being wrong.

Serious allegations, with no institutional clarification in the footage

The video contains serious allegations of police violence and political interference, but in the content made public there is no institutional response from the police or the authorities mentioned by the activist.

In the absence of an official clarification of the incident, what remains is a direct confrontation in which the denunciation is public, while the political response avoids the center of the accusation.

The case brings renewed attention to how allegations of violence during police escorts are handled and how real the political response is when the accusations do not come from the opposition, but from citizens who voice them publicly themselves.

So far, the video has raised more questions than it has answered: about police intervention, institutional responsibility and the silence that often follows such accusations.
