The Champions League evening produced several clear-cut results and one surprise that drew attention. Bayern Munich and Manchester United opened with convincing victories, while Como delivered the biggest shock of the night by beating Leipzig on its debut in the league phase.

Bayern ruthless against Bodo/Glimt
At the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich left no room for an upset and wrapped up a comfortable 5-0 win over Bodo/Glimt.
After a goalless first half, the Bavarians exploded immediately after the break. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in the 47th minute, Harry Kane doubled the lead in the 61st, while Alphonso Davies and Michael Olise then stretched the margin further with goals in the 77th, 83rd and 92nd minutes.
United return with authority
Manchester United returned to the European stage with a clear 4-0 victory over Sabah Baku at Old Trafford.
The English side controlled the tempo of the match from the start. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 27th minute, Bruno Fernandes added the second in the 42nd, Benjamin Sesko scored just before the break, while Lisandro Martinez sealed the final result in the 68th minute.
Como deliver the surprise of the evening
The result that stood out most was Como’s 4-1 win over RB Leipzig, turning its league-phase debut into a night to remember.
Baturina put Como ahead in the 15th minute, Douvikas doubled the lead in the 38th and Diao scored the third in the 54th. Leipzig responded temporarily through Maksimovic in the 58th minute, but Perrone put the game to bed with the fourth goal in stoppage time, in the 90+1st minute.
Lens also take the points in a match full of twists
In another game full of tempo and turnarounds, Lens beat Slavia Praha 3-2.
Sturm scored twice for the home side in the 51st and 88th minutes, but the French team responded through Sima in the 73rd and Thauvin in the 90+1st. Aguilar’s goal completed Lens’ victory in a duel that remained open until the end.
Earlier in the week, the Fenerbahçe-Roma and PSV-Shakhtar matches had ended in draws.
Big wins for the favorites, but also a strong signal from Como: the Champions League night produced not only confirmation, but also a result that upends the early predictions for this edition.
