The incident happened during a meeting of the Committee on Human Rights and Public Information, where a draft law affecting the status of judges and prosecutors in Albania was being discussed.
While referring to magistrates’ salaries, the Socialist lawmaker mispronounced the term and said “wizards’ salaries,” a slip that was immediately noticed in the room.

The committee was discussing the draft law “On some additions and amendments to Law No. 96/2016, ‘On the status of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania’.”
The debate concerned an issue that directly affects the justice system, which is why any inaccurate wording in its public discussion carries weight, even when it is a verbal mistake.

Bylykbashi immediately realized the mix-up and corrected herself on the spot.
