The government is introducing another digital platform for its relationship with citizens, this time under the name “Pasqyrë Albania.” According to the version made public by Prime Minister Edi Rama and details later reported, the system will operate with two separate sections: “Flamingo Mirror” for reports and “Radar” for tracking them. The promise is familiar: more oversight, fewer delays, and faster responses from the administration.
What Rama announced from Pogradec
From Pogradec, Edi Rama said that a meeting discussed the “unique mirror,” called “Pasqyrë Albania,” where citizens will have all institutions in front of them at a single point.
According to him, the aim is for every request or concern addressed to institutions to function like a “postal package,” with its status tracked in real time by the citizen, while institutions are monitored for deadlines and their responsibilities.
How the platform is expected to work
The first details indicate that “Pasqyrë Albania” will be a modernization of the existing “Co-Governance” platform, not an entirely new mechanism.
The first section will be called “Flamingo Mirror,” and this is where sensitive reports and citizens’ everyday concerns are expected to arrive. The second section, “Radar,” will collect these complaints and serve to trace them.
The deadlines the government is promising
According to the information made public, concerns submitted on the platform will be tracked within 48 hours.
After that, they are supposed to receive a solution within a time frame of up to two weeks. At this stage, it remains to be seen how binding these deadlines will be for institutions and what happens when the administration does not respect them.
The political objective behind the initiative
Sources from the Socialist Party have said that through “Pasqyrë Albania,” the aim is to increase trust in state institutions, with the main objective being to solve citizens’ problems.
But beyond its packaging as a technological reform, the initiative also carries clear political weight. According to the same information, the real test of its success is expected to be read in the 2027 local elections.
For now, the government has presented more of the promise and the platform’s general architecture than concrete proof of its effectiveness.
The essential question remains whether “Pasqyrë Albania” will actually produce solutions for citizens, or whether it will be added to the long list of digital channels that are heavily promoted but poorly measured in results.
