A 25-year-old woman seriously injured in a hotel fire in Vlora has been sent to Turkey for specialized treatment after suffering burns to about 85% of her body surface. The official version says the transfer was carried out after medical and administrative procedures were completed at QSUT.

Serious condition after hotel fire
The young woman, identified by the initials A. D., was injured two days ago in the fire that broke out at the hotel where she was staying on vacation in Vlora.
According to official information, she remained under intensive care at the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center, where she was treated by intensive therapy teams.
Transfer to Turkey
After the procedures were completed, authorities announced that the 25-year-old had departed for specialized treatment at a hospital in Turkey.
According to health institutions, the transfer was carried out in coordination with the Turkish Embassy and Turkish health authorities.
Cost covered by the state
According to the official announcement, the costs of the patient’s treatment in Turkey will be covered by the Albanian state through the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
At this stage, institutions have provided only information on the transport and the coverage of costs, without further details on the full circumstances of the incident or responsibilities for safety conditions at the hotel.
The incident once again raises questions about safety standards in tourist facilities, especially at the height of the summer season in Vlora.
So far, public information remains limited to official communications on the patient’s condition and her transfer abroad for treatment.
