The boycott at public universities has also expanded to Shkodra, where most lecturers walked out of classes, joining the movement that had started earlier in Korça. Meanwhile, at several other universities across the country, the situation is different and the teaching process is continuing without interruption.

Shkodra joins the boycott

At the University of Shkodra, most lecturers responded to the Education Union’s call to boycott the teaching process.

Students had earlier left lecture halls empty, while the involvement of lecturers has further expanded the boycott at this institution.

Korça continues the indefinite stoppage

At Fan Noli University in Korça, lecture halls have reportedly been without students for days, in solidarity with students in Tirana.

Lecturers at this university are also continuing the boycott indefinitely, keeping the teaching process blocked.

A different picture at other universities

In Durrës, Elbasan, Vlorë and Gjirokastër, classes are continuing normally.

At these universities, the number of students joining the boycott appears limited, showing that the protest has not reached the same extent across the country.

The expansion of the boycott in Shkodra shows that discontent in higher education is not remaining isolated to just one university center.

However, the fact that some universities are continuing normally highlights an uneven response among cities and a situation that remains fragmented on a national scale.
