Lura emerges from week-long wildfires, but blazes remain active in Dajt, Puka and Mirdita

Lura out of danger, according to the official version

According to the Ministry of Defense, the fire in Lura has been fully extinguished after an operation involving around 150 local forces, 30 members of the Armed Forces and two Air Tractor aircraft.

The statement presents the situation in Lura as stabilized, after days of flames in one of the most sensitive natural areas in Dibër. However, the scale of the damage and the consequences on the ground have not been made known at this stage.

Seven fire hotspots nationwide, four still active

Authorities report a total of seven fire hotspots across the country. Of these, four remain active and three others are under monitoring.

In operations on the ground, according to official data, 140 personnel, three helicopters and the two Air Tractor aircraft have been deployed. The figures point to broad involvement by emergency structures, while some areas continue to remain problematic.

Dajt remains a hotspot, blaze reignites in Priskë

The situation is described as problematic in the Dajt area, near the capital, where dozens of personnel and one helicopter are intervening.

In Priskë, a fire hotspot has reignited. According to authorities, it does not pose a risk to homes, but the return of the flames raises questions about the durability of the interventions and the real control of the situation on the ground.

Puka and Mirdita, operations in difficult terrain

Another problematic hotspot remains the one on Mount Tërbuni in Puka, where the operation is continuing in difficult conditions and is also being supported by two helicopters.

The hotspot in Mirdita also remains active. So far, it is reported that there is no risk to inhabited areas, but the presence of fire in several counties at the same time shows that the situation remains fragile, despite reassuring statements from institutions.

Lura appears to have come through the most severe episode of the past week, but the wildfire map across the country remains unresolved. Dajt, Puka and Mirdita continue to carry the main burden of the emergency, while the institutional response is being tested on several fronts at once.
