The political clash surrounding former SHISH chief Vlora Hyseni has shifted into a direct accusation against the prime minister. Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha called on Edi Rama to resign, claiming that every action taken by Hyseni was done with the knowledge and instruction of the head of government.
Direct political accusations against the prime minister
In his reaction, Berisha presented the case as a scandal with serious consequences for national security and claimed that responsibility does not stop with the former head of the intelligence service, but extends all the way to the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to Berisha’s version, Rama was aware of the developments and had a direct role in Vlora Hyseni’s decision-making. Along these lines, he publicly called for the prime minister’s resignation.
